Places in Mecklenburg

Mecklenburg is a big county, so we split the streets by place. Pick one and the map opens right here — Charlotte, the north towns, the south and east towns, or the rest of the county.

Rest of Mecklenburg

Neighborhood streets in Rest of Mecklenburg. Green solid lines are posted 35 mph or less. Dashed teal lines are residential streets inferred at 35 mph. Click a road for the name and the source. This is an unofficial overlay — posted signs win. Confirm posted speeds and local rules before you go.

Golf carts are prohibited on US 52, the NC 24/27 Bypass, and the Northeast Connector. LSVs must follow posted restrictions.

Life with an LSV

It is the journey, not the destination.

If you live near shopping and eating places, and you can get there on roads posted 35 mph and less, an LSV can be a primary way to get around. It is so much more fun to go out in an LSV than in a large vehicle. You are out in the open air. You wave and speak to your neighbors. Neighborhood get-togethers. Halloween trick-or-treating. The LSV in the driveway is the opposite of always rushing to get somewhere.
